The authentic feel is further enhanced by the free-standing hi-hat, which can be played in an open, closed or half-open setting. The free-standing snare, which also features the latest 3-point trigger technology, can be used to realise multi-faceted and highly dynamic rim-shot or cross-stick playing styles.The crowning glory of the DM-8 is the clearly laid out control interface, which allows precise intervention in the sound mix using individual group faders. In addition to 30 pre-installed hi-fi drum sets, you can also feed in your own drum samples. The module also serves as an interface for other DAW and MIDI applications.
