Vemuram Allies Custom Cables

Allies Custom cables are the result of years of development, backed by extensive live testing. The goal was to combine uncompromising, natural sound and maximum reliability in a tour-ready instrument cable that meets the needs of professional guitarists. For example, the double-spiral shielding used offers the best possible balance of flexibility and low noise.

Allies Original Custom Plugs

Brass is widely known as a material for plugs and is used by many manufacturers. However, Allies Custom cables are also available in another material: phosphor bronze. Other materials, such as beryllium bronze and other alloys, were also tested, but the use of phosphor bronze allowed Allies to discover entirely new sonic characteristics and open up new possibilities for tuning the plugs. Phosphor bronze is characterized by its strength and is therefore well-suited for instrument connectors. Compared to brass, phosphor bronze provides greater clarity in the sound and adds just the right amount of highs and lows.

A cable with a classic sound that evokes legendary guitar tones, but adds more midrange to the sound.

Brass and Phosphor Bronze (MIX)

A very balanced sound where the high and the low frequencies are not too emphasized. Comparing it with the All Brass plugs, the mid frequency is stable and sustained, a flat characteristic to the sound.

All Phosphor Bronze

Modellbezeichnung: PPP

Of all the plugs, these offer a particularly wide range of characteristics that are difficult to put into words. The best thing to do would be to try all three types for yourself.

For about 3 years, Vemuram tested all possibilities in terms of density and thickness of the copper wire. At the same time, they developed their Allies plugs by combining cable and plug in search of the sweet spot. Flexibility and noise balance were also decisive factors. Instead of lowering the capacitance, Vemuram focussed on testing and comparing the actual sound of the cables by ear.
