Of the 4 existing cable shielding methods, Vemuram opted for double spiral shielding for its Allies cables as it is more suitable for stage use. It reduces excess noise while maintaining sufficient flexibility in the cable and still sounding very natural. For about 3 years, Vemuram tested all possibilities in terms of density and thickness of the copper wire. At the same time, they developed their Allies plugs by combining cable and plug in search of the sweet spot. Flexibility and noise balance were also decisive factors. Instead of lowering the capacitance, Vemuram focussed on testing and comparing the actual sound of the cables by ear.
