Of the four existing cable shielding methods, Vemuram opted for double-helix shielding for its Allies cables, as this is better suited to stage use. It reduces excess noise whilst maintaining sufficient flexibility in the cable and still producing a very natural sound. For around three years, Vemuram tested all possibilities regarding the density and gauge of the copper wire. At the same time, they developed their Allies connectors by combining cables and connectors in search of the sweet spot. Flexibility and noise balance were also decisive factors. Rather than reducing the capacitance, Vemuram focused on testing and comparing the actual sound of the cables by ear.
