The black felt rim, combined with the beautiful vintage cord fabric, covers about a third of the head and thus preserves the natural drum sound. The Magnetic RimMount system holds the MuffBites securely in position on the rim and also allows them to be used on the resonance side of the drum. They reduce overtones, minimise sustain and ensure a more precise and drier sound. Three metal clamps are supplied for use on die-cast tyres.
