The versatile, single-ply tom skin is ideal for open tunings thanks to its broad overtone spectrum. Due to its versatility, it can be used both as a percussion and resonance head. The coated version of the G1 is also very popular as a snare head, as it produces a very open snare sound without damping.
With the PrePacks, we provide all drummers with head combinations that are specially tailored to their musical style. On the back of each PrePack we also provide our well-known tuning tips plus "Sound Spectrum" graphics for snare, tom and bass drum heads. So you can easily find the right head for the sound you want.
