A sub-oscillator or noise can be added to the VCOs. The creamy low-pass filter can be switched between 12 dB and 24 dB and modulated directly via key tracking, envelope and oscillator or noise.The first-class algorithms from SINEVIBES are once again used in the effects section. The four stereo effect blocks for distortion/bit crush, modulation FX, delay and reverb can be used simultaneously to alienate or refine the sound.Thanks to a mod matrix, connecting external MIDI controllers is also no problem; controller data such as mod wheel, polyphonic aftertouch, velocity etc. can be conveniently assigned to the parameters. The device also supports the new MPE standard.USB-B port, MIDI I/O (5 pin DIN) stereo output and a headphone socket (all 6.3 mm TRS) are available on the connection side.

The gain reserves surpass the good old JCM800, especially when the boost is switched on. Without the boost activated, the BL 800 is an exact sound copy of the JCM 800 with a little more gain; with the boost activated, there is a decent extra boost of gain.Controls:Gain, bass, middle, treble, volume, plus a gain boost. Five controls are enough to adapt the BL800 perfectly to an amplifier. This is achieved by an active 3-band tone control that covers all sound nuances. The boost adds a further scoop of gain without changing the actual sound of the BL 800.
