The must-have tool for ribbon and dynamic microphones!
The Cloudlifter CL-1 is a simple and easy-to-use tool for solving common problems in recording studios or live applications. The Cloudlifter was developed for use with all passive microphones, including ribbon microphones. The Cloudlifter CL-1 works safely with any phantom-powered microphone and provides an extremely clean and amplified level of up to 25 dB.
With the help of the Cloudlifter CL-1, the performance of passive microphones can be significantly increased even when long cable runs are required. Thanks to the clean and amplified audio signal provided by the Cloud Cloudlifter, they are equally suitable for broadcast, live and studio applications. The patented Cloudlifter technology is enclosed in a robust steel housing and provides excellent shielding against external interference factors. With the supplied strap, the Cloudlifter CL-1 can be easily attached to suitable locations in any conceivable environment (e.g. live on stage).
The Cloudlifter CL-1 works on the basis of patented technologies that leave the signal path completely free of transformers, capacitors or transformers. The CL-1 contains a discrete JFET circuit that provides exemplary amplification without sacrificing the natural sound characteristics of the microphone.
Cloud Cloudlifters are used to optimise the signal-to-noise ratio and improve the performance of passive microphone/preamplifier combinations. The high flexibility and reliability allows many other applications, such as:
When recording directly into the DAW:
Using inadequate microphone preamps and low-power microphone amplifiers
When using dynamic microphones with low output power
When miking weak sound sources, e.g. acoustic instruments or voices and vocals
To reduce noise and amplify signals when long cable runs are required
