The Xeno has heavier brass tubes and a thick-walled one-piece brazed bell that has been hand-hammered thousands of times to achieve the ultimate voluminous orchestral sound. The open construction with straight additional arch provides good free-blowing behaviour, and the whole instrument has a poise and balance that has to be experienced to be believed possible.

The tone is flexible with a myriad of tone colours and offers both powerful projection in fortissimo and fine control in the most delicate passages. It is quite possible that this is the most expressive orchestral trombone ever conceived!
