The 6176 Vintage Channel Strip combines the coveted all-tube sound of the legendary 610 mic preamp developed by Bill Putnam with the characteristic FET compression of our 1176LN, making it the ultimate channel strip for recording.
The warm, smooth sound of this microphone preamp circuit, which can be heard on recordings from Frank Sinatra to Van Halen, and the unique character of the compressor are two of the main reasons why the 6176 can be found in studios all over the world.
