Brass-bronze singing bowl for meditation and sound therapy. They are still driven by hand, creating an inner tension that produces a versatile sound pattern when struck.
The singing, high-pitched sound fills the entire room with its clarity and energy.
Each singing bowl is unique and bears witness to an ancient tradition.
The bowls are supplied with simple wooden mallets and a woollen felt base.
The singing bowls from Terré are inspired by the Keisu bells used in traditional Zen Buddhism.
The wooden mallet supplied is used to strike the side of the upper edge of the singing bowl. Similar to a bell, the singing sound fills the entire room with vibrations and energy. A wide range of sounds can be elicited from a single singing bowl using different mallets and striking techniques.
These singing bowls are pre-drawn by hand in India from a brass-bronze alloy and driven into their final shape, creating an internal tension in the metal. Each singing bowl is therefore unique and bears witness to an ancient tradition.
