The OP-1 field incorporates more than a decade of ideas, refinements and improvements such as stereo across the entire signal chain, Bluetooth MIDI, USB-C, a new speaker system with passive driver for detailed, rich and loud sound, an enormous battery life of up to 24 hours, multiple tapes and recording formats, a new, great-sounding mother reverb and the Dimension synth engine, a flush, high-resolution glass display and FM transmission to name just a few of the 100 new features.

OP-1 field is the natural continuation of its predecessor. Updated with the latest technology, improved design, in close co-operation with professional musicians, sound engineers and sound designers. Higher quality in all aspects, from circuitry to connectivity and flexibility, customised for professionals in the field.

The new stereo sample engine with increased sampling time of 20 seconds and dual layer mode is just one of the features that take the OP-1 to the next level. Tape now offers up to 8 different tapes and four new recording formats: Studio 4-Track, Vintage 4-Track, Porta and Disc Mini. All with their own unique features and graphics.

The original iconic design has been changed only slightly. By lowering the aluminium housing around the keyboard, OP-1 field feels lighter, thinner and more precise. Thanks to the 2k injection moulding process, it was even possible to accommodate a dual 2.4 GHz antenna system inside the aluminium housing. Two soft Velcro fasteners have been added to the back for attaching covers and accessories. An additional passive speaker on the right-hand side provides an enormous improvement in bass reproduction.

OP-1 Field is the second addition to the Teenage Engineering Field system. Together with the TX-6 portable mixer, you get an incredibly powerful and ultra-portable recording and performance system. All battery-powered, rechargeable via USB-C and with full interconnectivity (MIDI and high-resolution audio), compatible with iOS, macOS and Windows.
