When playing double bass, you can close the hi-hat cymbals by pressing the lever on the drop clutch. In the lowered position, you can use Tama's Sizzle Touch Drop Clutch to adjust the distance between the upper and lower cymbals to achieve the desired open sound. To resume normal function, press down on the hi-hat stand footboard to secure the clutch.
