Authentically aged humbucker set that incorporates the aesthetics and sound of the most incredible vintage PAF humbuckers.
The Antiquity neck pickup gives a clear yet mellow sound. The specially aged AlNiCo 2 Bar magnet produces an airy, open sound to perfection, giving clarity and definition to your chords, while the vintage output coil brings out the rich and open overall sound beautifully.
The Antiquity bridge humbucker gives them the warm, airy, open tone that Seth Lover developed in 1955. We wind the bridge model a little hotter for better balance and a warmer tone.
Each Antiquity humbucker is built in our custom shop and aged both visually and magnetically to simulate the long, lilting road a pickup travels over decades of use. Other key features include our custom 42AWG single-ply lacquered cable, nickel silver plating, 2.5-inch AlNiCo 2 bar magnet, custom metal and maple placeholders, single-core push-back main cable and nickel silver bottom plate with long attached legs. Each base plate and bar magnet is signed by Seymour to guarantee the authenticity of the Seymour Duncan antique.
