Each pedal is built in the classic ROSS cabinet style at the JHS Pedals factory in Kansas City, MO, to the same rigorous quality standards you've come to expect from us. Notable improvements over the old units include a soft-touch bypass, lower noise, and a two-setting mode switch for added versatility.

The ROSS Distortion is an op-amp based on the classic 1970s topology found in pedals like the MXR Distortion Plus, DOD 250, Proco RAT and BOSS DS-1. This pedal can be used in almost any situation, but is particularly characterised by the fact that it produces a natural, tube-like overdrive distortion and sets the amplifier into a natural breakup.
