New grooves for new ways:
The MC-707 GROOVEBOX offers you every opportunity to create songs or perform live without a computer. Experience the eight-track variety of recording, sequencing, synthesisers and effects as well as a carefully selected palette of sounds, loops and phrases. Record audio and MIDI - including extensive timing control - and lose yourself in the creative moment thanks to faders and knobs. Use the countless possibilities of the MC-707 to produce any genre or do your very own musical thing.
Big compositions in a small format:
With the MC-707 GROOVEBOX you get a lot of punch from a single device. Despite its far-reaching possibilities, it remains easy to use at all times and is always ready when creativity strikes. Create your compositions based on a carefully selected collection of built-in sounds, beats and phrases - created by renowned artists and sound designers. Explore a huge musical playground and combine loops and one-shot samples with melodic phrases as well as your own audio recordings and MIDI sequences. Record clips, trigger, arrange and sample recordings, record automations and use the single track and master effects to make your productions sound really big.
Clip-based sequencing on eight tracks:
The MC-707's 8-track sequencer has been optimised for smooth production in current electronic music genres, including the numerous, constantly evolving sub-genres. The TR-REC step sequencer is based on the classic Roland drum machines and is perfect for quickly creating rhythm parts. You also have 16 velocity-sensitive pads at your disposal to play or build drum parts, melodic basslines and polyphonic chord progressions. In addition to the notes, your controller movements are also recorded in the sequencer clips. This allows you to create dramatic, lively effects - such as a reverb with depth gradation for a single clap, slow filter sweeps and much more.
Synthesis with depth:
The MC-707 is based on our latest sound engine and combines virtual analogue synthesis with modern PCM sound generation. Use the flexibility and power to dive deep into the sonic possibilities of the MC-707. The sounds are based on the legendary Roland rhythm machines and synthesizers that have shaped the history of electronic music, including the TR-808, TR-909, TB-303, the JUNO-106 and the SH-101. With its modern digital and hybrid sounds, the MC-707 looks equally to the future and offers everything you need to produce the classics of tomorrow.
Recording, sampling, optimising and disassembling:
In addition to the in-depth synthesis options, the MC-707 also has a powerful sampler that keeps your recordings in sync with the project tempo at all times. Record vocals or instrumental parts or import clips from your existing library to sequence or trigger phrases, one-shots and loops. Thanks to the edit and reverse function, you can put your samples through the wringer if necessary and edit them creatively and precisely using the hands-on controllers.
Studio-quality effects:
Thanks to the enormous variety of effects, your productions will benefit from a polished and sophisticated sound. All eight tracks have their own effects processor with extensive possibilities. Use a lush chorus to add depth to your pads and synthesiser sounds. Delays and reverbs create lively spaces and give important sequences more movement. Enrich synthesisers, guitars, drums and other instruments with effects such as overdrive, distortion or an amplifier simulation for an extra dose of warmth and character. You can also send your entire mix through various master effects such as filters and bit crushers or use a master bus compressor to combine all elements and make the mix even more assertive.
Direct access:
The MC-707 offers you numerous hands-on controllers that allow you to instinctively mould and precisely shape your music. Each track has its own fader to mix and arrange parts directly. The controllers can also be freely assigned so that you always have the right controller for your sound within easy reach. You can even record your controller movements to run them automatically. The 8x2 pad array is not only suitable for playing drum parts, but also for recording melodies and chords including velocity as well as triggering audio and MIDI clips.
Advanced computer integration:
The MC-707 functions as a modern USB audio interface and fits seamlessly into your production setup. Record all eight parts to individual tracks in your DAW to finalise your song on your computer. You can also sample sounds from your DAW to use backing tracks, stems or a specific sound from your favourite synthesizer in your next live performance.
Expand your setup with new sounds, loops and phrases:
The MC-707 is an upgradeable and expandable platform that always offers something new. Keep your productions up to date with new loops, one-shots, phrases and synthesiser sounds - always available online.
