Robust foot pedal with low playing noise:
The Roland KT-10 trigger pedal has a compact design with a "reverse trigger" mechanism, in which the mallet hits the striking surface backwards, and offers a natural playing feel with low playing noise. The KT-10 is significantly quieter than the combination of kick pad and standard foot machine with mallet.
Due to its small base area, it is ideal as a second kick pedal in an acoustic/electronic drum set, or in combination with a percussion pad from the SPD series, a HandSonic HPD-20 or a V-Drum Set.
Kick trigger pedal with low playing noise for the Roland V-Drums:
Roland V-Drums are the only professional alternative for drummers who live in apartment blocks, as acoustic drums are often too loud. Only the previously common method of using a conventional foot machine on the kick pad of the V-Drum Set has resulted in correspondingly loud playing noises.
The KT-10 provides a remedy here, as the pedal is a single unit in which the beater hits the striking surface backwards. This reduces the volume of the playing noise by approx. 75 % (based on extensive tests by Roland), but does not affect the natural playing feel.
Ideal for acoustic/electronic drum sets and Roland e-percussion instruments:
Due to its small footprint and flat housing, the KT-10 takes up far less space than the combination of foot machine and kick pad. It is therefore ideal for acoustic/electronic drum sets and percussion kits, e.g. in combination with a TM-2 trigger module, which is integrated into an acoustic/electronic drum set and the sounds of the TM-2 can be played by foot via the KT-10.
The KT-10 is also a useful extension for Roland percussion instruments such as the SPD-SX Sampling Pad, the OCTAPAD SPD-30 and the HandSonic HPD-20. The KT-10 is very easy to connect via a single cable.
Variable weight settings and expandability:
You can flexibly adjust the playing style of the KT-10 by changing the resistance of the pedal by removing or moving the weights, as well as the tension of the pedal by changing the spring tension. You can connect a second KT-10 to the Mix In socket and then play with a "double foot machine".
