Since the introduction of the JUPITER-4 in 1978, the name JUPITER has been synonymous with inimitable Roland sound and outstanding playability. Roland JUPITER synthesisers feature our most advanced sound technologies, are characterised by outstanding playability and rely on high-quality materials throughout.
The 61-key version of the JUPITER-X represents the pinnacle of Roland sound and design quality. In addition to an all-metal body and high-quality materials throughout, our new keyboard with aftertouch functionality is the best keyboard we have developed to date. Thanks to the familiar arrangement of the control elements, you can immerse yourself in the sound when creating - whether composing in the studio or during a live performance.
The JUPITER-X is based on our state-of-the-art sound engine, allowing you to play and blend legendary synthesisers and groundbreaking sounds from Roland's long history. Among the authentically reproduced analogue classics are the JUPITER-8, JUNO-106 and the SH-101, as well as digital synthesizers such as the XV-5080 and the modern RD pianos. Furthermore, the JUPITER-X offers you the sounds of the Roland drum machines TR-808, TR-909, CR-78 and more, with which the sonic foundations of electronic music were defined. Basically, you have a fully equipped vintage studio at your disposal - only with modern possibilities and an enormously flexible sound generation to explore previously unexplored soundscapes.
Need a few good ideas in a hurry? The JUPITER-X's I-Arpeggio is a next-generation arpeggiator that uses artificial intelligence not only to create accompaniments, but also to continuously inspire you. I-Arpeggio uses your inputs - notes, rhythms, phrases - and creates drum parts, basslines, chords and arpeggiator sequences based on them. The arpeggiator can be used in parallel on all five parts of the JUPITER-X. You can also customise the generated patterns and import them into your DAW. We're not talking about canned backing tracks, but intelligently generated beats and phrases that bring live performances to the fore and break any writer's block.
In addition to the informative screen, the JUPITER-X features a variety of large knobs, sliders and buttons that feel as robust as they are precise, allowing for unrivalled smooth sweeps and subtle sound adjustments. Thanks to the dedicated effects section and quick switching between individual synthesiser layers, you have full control over all aspects of your sound at all times. This natural, haptic control gives you the feeling of immersing yourself in the sound and literally feeling it. In this way, you can perfectly customise your sounds to the respective requirements.
The JUPITER-X is based on five layer parts: four for synthesisers and one for drums. The sound engine offers enough power for authentic Roland classics like the JX-8P or JUPITER-8 as well as polyphonic polyphony for fat layers and complex backing parts. Create the ideal bass/lead split with the combination of SH-101 and JUNO-106, combine an assertive RD piano with the lush strings of the JX-8P or build your own personal monster stack from multiple JUPITER-8 units.
The JUPITER-X feels at home anywhere - in a home studio, a professional studio or in a touring rig. With its robust metal parts and high-quality components, the synthesiser can withstand the rigours of any live performance and gives you a reliable, precise feel at all times. The high-quality balanced connections, numerous performance controllers and pedal inputs make the JUPITER-X the perfect synthesiser for any situation.
