Roland CY-18DR

High-resolution sound triggering for use with Roland's TD-50 sound module

Reproduces every nuance, hard or soft, from rim to bell

High-resolution touch sensor for damping and stopping

18 diameters for natural playing comfort

With the new Digital Trigger Pads, Roland continues to drive the evolution of electric drums. Equipped with the latest technology, these innovative pads work directly with the flagship TD-50 sound module to deliver the ultimate in expressive drumming. Never before have electric drums felt so real.

The new Roland CY-18DR is for drummers who want to add character to their sound.

With 18 diameters and authentic vibration behaviour, like an acoustic cymbal, the newly developed Digital V-Cymbal feels immediately familiar. It also features the latest high-resolution multi-sensor trigger technology, which maps every nuance at every position, from the rim to the bell. This information is sent to the TD-50 module via a high-speed digital trigger connection.

The CY-18DR Digital Ride offers expressive drummers unprecedented dynamics and supports playing techniques from legato to soft bell strokes. In addition, the sound can be muted or stopped by touching the playing surface with a natural decay, just like an acoustic ride cymbal. Due to the connections and the required processing power, the CY-18DR can only be used in combination with Roland's new flagship TD-50 sound module.

Roland KT-10 Kick Trigger Pedal
Manufacturer:
Robust foot pedal with low playing noise:The Roland KT-10 trigger pedal has a compact design with a "reverse trigger" mechanism, in which the mallet hits the striking surface backwards, and offers a natural playing feel with low playing noise. The KT-10 is significantly quieter than the combination of kick pad and standard foot machine with mallet.Due to its small base area, it is ideal as a second kick pedal in an acoustic/electronic drum set, or in combination with a percussion pad from the SPD series, a HandSonic HPD-20 or a V-Drum Set.Kick trigger pedal with low playing noise for the Roland V-Drums:Roland V-Drums are the only professional alternative for drummers who live in apartment blocks, as acoustic drums are often too loud. Only the previously common method of using a conventional foot machine on the kick pad of the V-Drum Set has resulted in correspondingly loud playing noises. The KT-10 provides a remedy here, as the pedal is a single unit in which the beater hits the striking surface backwards. This reduces the volume of the playing noise by approx. 75 % (based on extensive tests by Roland), but does not affect the natural playing feel.Ideal for acoustic/electronic drum sets and Roland e-percussion instruments:Due to its small footprint and flat housing, the KT-10 takes up far less space than the combination of foot machine and kick pad. It is therefore ideal for acoustic/electronic drum sets and percussion kits, e.g. in combination with a TM-2 trigger module, which is integrated into an acoustic/electronic drum set and the sounds of the TM-2 can be played by foot via the KT-10.The KT-10 is also a useful extension for Roland percussion instruments such as the SPD-SX Sampling Pad, the OCTAPAD SPD-30 and the HandSonic HPD-20. The KT-10 is very easy to connect via a single cable.Variable weight settings and expandability:You can flexibly adjust the playing style of the KT-10 by changing the resistance of the pedal by removing or moving the weights, as well as the tension of the pedal by changing the spring tension. You can connect a second KT-10 to the Mix In socket and then play with a "double foot machine".

Roland KT-9
Manufacturer:
Most of the time, you are the only one who really enjoys playing the drums. An electronic drum kit is known to make less noise, especially as you usually use headphones. Nevertheless, the neighbours still complain: the muffled thuds when playing the bass drum pedal and the bang when the mallet hits the pad drive even well-meaning fellow citizens mad from time to time. That's why Roland is introducing the KT-9, an ultra-quiet pedal that contains no mallet and is equipped with a patented mechanism. This leads to a drastic reduction in noise, although the playing feel hardly changes at all. With a KT-9, you can finally let off steam at any time of day or night.
