DS (Double Snare) stands for two independent snare tuners - each tuner can be adjusted to personal taste and switched on or off separately. This enables a multitude of sound variations. For example: Fancy an outstanding snare sound? Simply increase the intensity of the snare sound and switch on the two tuners. Prefer the opposite, i.e. no snare sound (Peruano)? Simply switch off both tuners and you're done! Factory-set clap corners give the rhythm further sound options. The back of the StageDS is screwed on and is specially manufactured to produce balanced conga-bongo-like sounds.
