The Nektar Impact LX61+ shines with its pleasant-to-play, velocity-sensitive keyboard, pitch and modulation wheel, octave and transpose buttons and numerous other freely assignable control elements such as 9 faders, 8 rotary knobs, 9 LED buttons, 6 transport buttons and all the popular features of its successful predecessor. The 8 completely redesigned, velocity-sensitive drum pads with practical learn function offer significantly better sensitivity, which can be compared with the best pad controllers on the market. LED backlighting in the colours green, orange, yellow and red significantly enhances the look of the LX+ series and provides improved visual feedback. All faders and knobs are labelled with standard instrument parameter assignments, which are consistent regardless of the DAW used. 2 Clip and Scenes LED buttons ensure a much better workflow in clip-based DAWs such as Bitwig. The mixer and instrument preset buttons now also have LEDs to make it clearer which mode is currently selected. A page button makes it possible to have another user set with parameter assignments available in parallel to Nektar's unique DAW integration. This alone makes the LX61+, like its predecessor, a convincing performer across the board. What makes it completely unrivalled in this price range, however, is its direct, in-depth connection to all common DAW programs such as Logic Pro X, Cubase (all versions), Nuendo, Studio One, Reason, Bitwig Studio, Garage Band, Reaper, Sonar, FL Studio and Digital Performer, which it inherits from the Nektar Panorama series.
