Equipped with MOTU's award-winning MIDI interface technology, the Micro Express is a compact, extended and bus-powered MIDI interface and time code synchroniser - plug & play via USB on any Mac or Windows PC.
It's an Express XT - but compact and mobile :
The Micro Express is the mini version of the MIDI Express XT. It has almost the same functions - but it is smaller, offers power supply via USB and is cheaper. The Express XT offers 4 MIDI-IN, 6 MIDI-OUT, 96 MIDI channels and is compatible with all MIDI software on PC and Mac. A total of 16 presets (8 factory and 8 user-defined) can be called up directly on the device. The included software for Mac OS X and Windows offers extensive MIDI routing, merging and muting.
Professional time code synchronisation :
As a professional SMPTE time code synchroniser, the Express XT converts and generates SMPTE in all frame formats (23.976, 24, 25, 29.97 drop and non-drop and 30). SMPTE "Jam Sync" with adjustable freewheel offers interference-free synchronisation. The MIDI Express also supports MIDI Machine Control (MMC) as master or slave. It is able to send MMC transport commands to all connected MIDI devices simultaneously.
Foot pedal connection :
Connect a foot pedal to the front of the Micro Express and programme what type of MIDI data you want to send when the pedal is pressed. This MIDI data can be sent to any connected device. For example, you can send patch change commands to your synthesizers and expanders during a live performance.
