Ketron SD9

The SD9 is characterised by 2 brand new, fantastic stereo grand piano sounds (classical and modern) as well as a new, authentic vintage electric piano. Thanks to their uncompromising multilayer sampling, their long natural decay and their extremely high sound quality, these pianos surpass everything that has ever been offered on an entertainment keyboard. These sounds alone make this instrument an absolute must-have for every professional player and composer. The SD9 also contains a rich, renewed sound library with new orchestral sounds, including electric and FM pianos, strings and brass both as solo voices and ensembles, basses, synths, guitars and the original sounds of the Tonewheel organs with real samples of Slow and Fast Rotor. Thanks to their natural length and vibrato without sampling loops, some of the new solo sounds such as Violin, Flute, Oboe, Soprano, Whistle and Peruvian Flute will allow you to give your playing a deeper emotional expression than ever before.

The SD9 is fully compatible with its predecessor SD7 and is more than ever the right choice for the professional entertainer, the home studio producer and also for the amateur player.

Since its first use in the Audya series, KETRON has never stopped including real audio drum performances in its arrangements. With the SD9, this integration now reaches new heights with up to 250 new audio drums with acoustic and electronic loops and an impressive variety of over 400 Latin percussion grooves. The system is compatible with the Audya series user audio drums and offers the user the possibility to import new custom audio drums into the device.

The Launchpad is a new environment of the SD9 that offers unprecedented possibilities in the field of composition and modern live performances. This amazing application allows you to combine up to 12 pads for a single scene, with each pad sounding as an audio drum, bass, guitar or percussion groove. This function uses the internal modelling or any external wav files imported into the device. Individual sections can also be imported from the internal styles, or the musician can write their own arranger chord sequences. An additional song mode enables automatic scene changes. The user can record short sequences in real time, synchronised with the other parts and controlled by sophisticated play modes, unleashing almost endless musical creativity. Up to 6 scenes are available for each individual Launchpad project. Up to 2048 Launchpad projects can be programmed. Unlike other similar tools, the SD9 Launchpad is fully interactive and allows the player to select the root note of their performance simply by playing the corresponding chord. With the filter and a dedicated keypad, it is possible to vary the sounds of each pad in real time by changing the cut of f and resonance.
