Every square centimetre has been well used, the AmpMan is just as big or small as it needs to be, packed with technology, features and sound. And it is a real powerhouse! With enough power reserves to really heat up even a 4×12" speaker.
This is thanks to the specially developed Ultra Response power amplifier, which, with up to 50 watts and explosive dynamics, is in no way inferior to the punch and feel of a similarly powerful tube power amplifier. Every single watt is delivered to the speaker with gripping dynamics and converted into impressive sound pressure. The ultra-response power amplifier always retains its musical character, even at full power.
Channel 1 of the AmpMan Classic delivers the direct, lively and sensual sound of single-channel amps without a master. These are the legendary sounds of the 60s and early 70s, pioneered by the rebels of rock history. This channel is characterised by its high dynamic range and sensitive response. With low gain and reduced sagging, it delivers crystal-clear, sparkling clean sounds. With medium sagging, it unfolds the popular "break-up" of the tube amps of the time, with warm distortion rich in overtones. When the boost is activated, it delivers the beguiling sound of a fully opened tube amp with an upstream boost
