Fender is recognised as one of the greatest manufacturers and pioneers of solid body guitars. As the creator of the Telecaster and Stratocaster, founder Leo Fender created milestones in the history of electric guitars and thus a cult following. The name Fender alone is enough to evoke melodies, memories and emotions in the mind. When you hear a Fender Telecaster or a Fender Stratocaster, legendary songs such as "Purple Haze" by Jimi Hendrix, "Smoke on the Water" by Deep Purple and "Cocaine" by Eric Clapton immediately spring to mind. There is also a long history behind the famous Fender amps. Leo Fender started building guitar amps even before he built his first guitars. These were of course built using tube technology, Fender only started with solidstate models in the late 60s...
