The Player II Modified Telecaster ® SH is a true classic – cleverly modified with contemporary extras. The maple neck plays fast and smoothly, featuring a modern C-profile and a satin urethane finish on the back. It is available as a one-piece model with a maple fingerboard or with a rosewood slab fingerboard, each with a 9.5” radius, rounded edges and 22 medium jumbo frets. The alder body supports the typical crisp Fender tone and is available in many new finishes. We’ve also refined the tone: the Player II Modified Humbucker produces an articulate, broad tone with plenty of output, whilst the Player II Noiseless™ pickups deliver the coveted Tele ® twang, crystal-clear without any noise or feedback. The push/pull function on the second tone control splits the humbucker, unlocking further Tele-®-single-coil nuances. To ensure the guitar stays in tune even during long gigs, we’ve fitted it with short locking tuners, a six-saddle bridge, a TUSQ-®-nut and a modern string tree.
