Are you passionate about playing and ready for the next step? That's where the Player II Modified guitars and basses come in. With sophisticated upgrades that make you so musically versatile that you can realise any idea.
The Player II Modified Telecaster® SH is a true classic - smartly modified with contemporary extras. The maple neck plays quickly and smoothly, it has a modern C-profile and a silk-matt urethane finish on the back. It is available in one piece with a maple fingerboard or with a rosewood slab fingerboard, each with a 9.5" radius with rounded edges and 22 medium jumbo frets. The alder body supports the typical crisp Fender tone and is available in many new finishes. We've also refined the tone: the Player II Modified Humbucker produces an articulate, wide tone with plenty of output, while the Player II Noiseless™ pickups produce the coveted Tele® twang, clean as a whistle with no noise or feedback. The push/pull function in the second tone control splits the humbucker and releases further Tele® single-coil nuances. To keep the guitar in tune even during long gigs, we have equipped it with short locking tuners, a bridge with six string saddles, a TUSQ® nut and a modern string tree.
If you are looking for an uncomplicated workhorse with many sound facets, the Player II Modified Telecaster SH could become your new favourite guitar.

Fender is recognised as one of the greatest manufacturers and pioneers of solid body guitars. As the creator of the Telecaster and Stratocaster, founder Leo Fender created milestones in the history of electric guitars and thus a cult following. The name Fender alone is enough to evoke melodies, memories and emotions in the mind. When you hear a Fender Telecaster or a Fender Stratocaster, legendary songs such as "Purple Haze" by Jimi Hendrix, "Smoke on the Water" by Deep Purple and "Cocaine" by Eric Clapton immediately spring to mind. There is also a long history behind the famous Fender amps. Leo Fender started building guitar amps even before he built his first guitars. These were of course built using tube technology, Fender only started with solidstate models in the late 60s...
