The Player II Modified Stratocaster® HSS is a classic rock guitar with modern modifications. The maple neck sits comfortably in the fretting hand, it has a modern C-profile and a silk-matt urethane finish on the back. It is available in one piece with a maple fingerboard or with a rosewood slab fingerboard, each with a 9.5" radius with rounded edges and 22 medium jumbo frets. The alder body supports the typical crisp Fender tone and is available in many new finishes. We've refined the tone, too: the Player II Modified Humbucker delivers a throaty, wide sound, while the Player II Noiseless™ pickups produce classic, bell-like Strat® tone that sparkles beautifully in the highs - sparkling clean and without the noise of the past. The push/pull function in the second tone control splits the humbucker if you want to elicit more Strat® single-coil sound colours from the instrument. We have equipped the guitar with short locking tuners, TUSQ® saddles and a modern string tree to ensure that it stays in tune even when the 2-point tremolo is used vigorously. The edge of the tremolo block is bevelled, allowing for nuanced, sensitive vibrato effects.
