This set contains the microphone and the accessories required for electronic reporting and electronic field production.
It includes the d:screet 4071 microphone with omnidirectional polar pattern, presence boost and our improved strain relief (pre-equalised for speech intelligibility). Also included is an XLR adapter with centre attenuation (DAD6024). This means that the sound is delivered ready for transmission without the need for further processing. The combination of microphone and XLR adapter allows voices to be better differentiated and improves speech intelligibility and sound clarity.
The microphone is an outstanding speech and vocal microphone. It transmits the voice clearly and intelligibly. It is also resistant to moisture, extreme temperature fluctuations and humidity.
When recording vocals with a microphone attached to the presenter's body, frequencies below 100 Hz are not particularly attractive. For this reason, an acoustic low-cut has been integrated into the microphone capsule, which gives the built-in preamplifier (and the wireless system) more headroom. In addition, distant rumbling noises from cars, trains, aeroplanes etc. are filtered out.
Another factor to consider is that the frequency range of consonants is attenuated when a microphone is placed on the body, especially on the chest, which reduces speech intelligibility. The d:screet 4071 omnidirectional microphone has a built-in presence boost to compensate for this loss. This microphone is particularly perfect for electronic reporting, because almost no EB mixer offers the possibility of such compensation.
The d:screet ENG/EFP microphone set is supplied in a sturdy housing with a transparent cover. This provides space for the microphone, one or more adapters and various transparent microphone holders.
