The classic d:fine™ 4088 directional headworn microphone is the industry standard for professional headworn microphones. Its open and natural sound makes it the ideal choice for speech and vocals.
This microphone offers excellent off-axis signal rejection at high SPL. It effectively suppresses distant sound sources, making it perfect for demanding live performances with potentially problematic background noise and feedback. At high SPL or feedback, this microphone handles such challenges with ease. The bass response has been designed for optimum linearity 2-3 cm away from the sound source. This means that the bass roll-off will be relatively clear at a greater distance - a very important factor when attenuating background noise and combating feedback.
The sleek and elegant design of the d:fine™ 4088 directional headworn microphone makes it the world's most invisible true cardioid headworn microphone. This microphone in a secure dual-ear design is suitable for countless performance applications. Thanks to a diameter of just 0.64 cm, it is extremely discreet. And with a weight of just 14 g, it can also be worn comfortably for long periods of time. The microphone can be mounted on the right or left.
The boom is 3 cm longer than the omnidirectional version, making it suitable for placement at the corner of the mouth. However, to counteract the "pop effect", it should not be placed directly in front of the mouth.
