The Ethercon QUAD DMX-AES/EBU adapter utilises one pair of wires from a standard 4-pair CAT cable, thereby enabling the cost-effective transmission of four parallel DMX or AES/EBU signals.
It is fitted with black male NEUTRIK ® XLR metal connectors in a 5-pin configuration. The individual cables are colour-coded to TIA 568 A and, after a 70 cm split, terminate in a special metal cable socket with strain relief and kink protection based on the well-known NEUTRIK ® NE8FF.
For the long distances in between, we recommend network cables with at least one overall shield. Distances of up to 150 metres are possible when using the high-quality CORDIAL CCAT 7A LONG RUN with a wire gauge of AWG 23.
