Austrian Audio's OC18 is the stripped down version of the innovative OC818 large diaphragm microphone, focussing on its most essential feature, the CRK12 capsule:
Based on the legendary CK12 microphone capsule, the Viennese audio engineers designed their own advanced CKR12 capsule by tracking down various originals of the famous vintage capsule worldwide and meticulously testing, measuring and evaluating them for their best characteristics in order to develop much more than just a copy from the data and experience gained.
The lovingly handcrafted OC18 shines with its unmistakable, transparent Made in Vienna sound, which cuts an outstanding figure both in the studio as an instrumental and vocal microphone and as a microphone in loud live environments.
