The HI-X55 over-ear headphones offer maximum comfort as well as maximum flexibility and stability thanks to their ingenious folding design. All critical parts, hinges and the headband are made of metal, guaranteeing a long service life, even under the toughest conditions in the studio or on tour.
The brand new 44mm HI-X driver has been developed from scratch and features a ring magnet system - a proprietary system that has been used by our engineers in many award-winning headphones in the past. The newly developed "High Excursion" technology enables improved airflow and the strongest magnetic field in its class. The ring magnet system combined with a copper clad aluminium voice coil reduces the weight of the diaphragm and the voice coil sitting on top of it, allowing for faster movement and directional changes. The result is greatly improved handling of high impulse signals, ideal for both modern and traditional music productions. A specially developed double acoustic wall ensures the best damping results. The shape of the ear pads has been completely redesigned to maximise comfort, leaving more space for the ears without having to enlarge the ear cups. The HI-X design thus reduces fatigue during long recording or listening sessions.
