The HI-X55 over-ear headphones offer not only the highest level of comfort but also maximum flexibility and stability thanks to a sophisticated folding design. All critical parts, including the hinges and headband, are made of metal, ensuring long-lasting durability even under the toughest conditions in the studio or whilst on tour.
The brand-new 44mm HI-X driver has been developed from scratch and features a ring magnet system – a proprietary system that has already been used by our engineers in many award-winning headphones in the past. The newly developed ‘High Excursion’ technology enables improved airflow and the strongest magnetic field in its class. The ring magnet system, combined with a copper-clad aluminium voice coil, reduces the weight of the diaphragm and the voice coil mounted on it, thereby enabling faster movements and directional changes. The result is significantly improved handling of high-impulse signals, ideal for both modern and traditional music productions. A specially developed double acoustic wall ensures optimal damping performance. For maximum comfort, the shape of the ear pads has been completely redesigned, providing more space for the ears without having to enlarge the ear cups. The HI-X design thus reduces fatigue during long recording or listening sessions.
