D6 microphone:
The D6 is a dynamic microphone that is particularly good at reproducing comparatively low frequencies. The cardioid D6 offers a transmission range of 30 Hz to 15 kHz (+/-3 dB) and is therefore ideal for miking kick drums, bass boxes/combos and similar instruments. Transformerless electronics as well as low-impedance and balanced outputs guarantee interference-free performance - even when using longer cable lengths. The very stable housing is made of a single piece of aluminium and is about twice the size of the other models in the D series.
D4 microphone:
The D4 is suitable for miking kick drum, floor tom, djembe, bass guitar combo, piano or saxophone. The D4 has an innovative capsule design that is also capable of reproducing frequencies below 100 Hz cleanly. In fact, the D4 is able to pick up frequencies up to 63 Hz. However, it should not be forgotten that this microphone is a full-range microphone that is suitable for a variety of different applications. If the D4 is used to pick up the kick drum, it should be placed in the centre of the sound opening of the front head. Here the D4 offers a warm, fat sound with a good portion of punch.
D2 microphone:
The D2 is very well suited for rack toms, floor toms and congas. It was primarily designed to perfectly reproduce instruments with an amplified lower midrange. With little or no gating, this microphone really comes into its own. Due to its wide frequency transmission range, the D2 can also be used for guitar combos as well as for miking a saxophone.
Audix I-5 microphone:
The Audix I-5 is a dynamic microphone for miking instruments on stage and in the studio. It is particularly suitable for loud instruments such as snare or electric guitar etc. and is ideal for the event sector due to its absolutely tour-ready processing.
The I-5 was developed in response to requests from users and dealers for a universal, high-quality and cost-effective instrument microphone. Over the last few years Audix has successfully produced a wide range of application specialised microphones for e.g. drums and percussion. The I-5 is a synthesis of the experience gained from these developments. Audix is the leading U.S. manufacturer of high quality microphones for the event and studio market. Although the I-5 is produced in large quantities for a broad target group, the high quality specifications and quality control standards remain Audix trademarks as with all other products.
The I-5 is designed with a cardioid polar pattern that allows the miked instrument to be transmitted without crosstalk from other instruments or sounds on stage. With a smooth, even frequency response of 50 Hz - 16 kHz and sound pressure processing of more than 140 dB, the I-5 is ideal for a wide range of applications in all musical genres.
Featuring the latest Audix instrument microphone technology, each model is made from durable cast zinc alloy in a sleek shape with a unique basket design and features laser-etched model and serial numbers.
