The EWI 5000 offers wind instrumentalists an extensive sound library and expressive performance control.
The EWI 5000 comes with 3GB of high-quality sounds. These include traditional horns, brass and woodwind instruments, string instruments, as well as synth leads and experimental sounds. The EWI 5000 features twelve touch-sensitive metal keys in the upper section and eight octave rolls in the lower section. The EWI mode (Electronic Valve Instrument) has been implemented specifically for simulating brass instruments. Eight controls adjust filter, reverb, chorus, LFO, breath amount, bite amount, semitone tuning and fine tuning. USB MIDI and 5-pin MIDI ports are provided for controlling software or MIDI sound modules. A 6.3 mm output is provided for connection to an amplifier, whilst a further 3.5 mm stereo output allows for quiet playing via headphones. The EWI 5000 is charged via USB or a mains adaptor. The package includes a USB cable, mains adaptor, wireless receiver and a carrying strap.
