Don't be fooled by its size:
The F2 is incredibly small, but its audio quality will amaze you.
Audio on autopilot:
Thanks to the 32-bit floating point recording technology, you can record even the loudest audio signals with the F2 without having to worry about clipping. On the other hand, even the quietest signals are recorded in perfect detail. And the best thing is that you don't have to worry about the gain setting. Simply plug in your lavalier microphone and press the record button.
Interruption-free recording:
Once you have started your recording, use the hold switch to prevent the recording from being stopped accidentally.
Lavalier with locking mechanism:
Thanks to a screw connector, your lavalier is always securely connected to the device in any recording situation.
Perfect your texts:
With the F2, actors can record and play back their lines to perfect their performance.
The F2 Editor:
With the F2 Editor for PC and Mac, you can customise settings, format SD cards and much more. Simply connect your F2 or F2-BT with a USB cable and start the editor. You can also easily transfer files to your computer via the USB port. Information on the functions of the F2 Editor can be found here.
Narration and voice-over:
Whether you want to record the atmosphere in your garden or the whispers and shouts of a dramatic reading, the F2 delivers crystal-clear recordings at all times.
Lavalier included:
The LMF-2 omnidirectional lavalier microphone offers an unobtrusive design, high recording quality and comes with a windscreen and microphone clamp.
Recording formats:
The F2 Field Recorder allows you to select the recording format that best suits your project. You can choose between mono WAV files in 44.1 kHz/32 bit float or 48 kHz/32 bit float format. The F2 is perfect for location-independent recording of interviews
Free editing software:
The Zoom F2 comes with a free download licence for the Steinberg WaveLab Cast software. WaveLab Cast supports you with a comprehensive selection of tools for editing, mixing and optimising your projects.
Podcasting:
With WaveLab Cast you are directly connected to podcast directories such as Spreaker or Podbean. You can quickly upload new episodes and directly create and publish RSS feeds.
Audio for videos:
Import your video file and extract the audio tracks automatically with WaveLab Cast. Use the editing tools to suppress annoying background noise, adjust levels and remove sibilance. With the metering options, you can create new tracks, fade in your music and use EQ and compression. WaveLab Cast's export functions allow you to merge audio and video.
Field recording:
WaveLab Cast supports recordings at up to 96 kHz and includes a high-quality resampling function. Use RestoreRig to remove background and background noise. Use the snap and crossfade functions to create new files. Finally, you can export your sound files in one of the established audio formats.
