The YAS/YTS-280 saxophones provide a perfect start as they have been specially designed for young beginners.
They are relatively light in weight and have a particularly ergonomic shape, making them easy to hold and play. As you would expect from Yamaha, the intonation is perfect and the sound is first class. Yamaha's design provides optimal support for beginners and encourages both the learning process and creativity of students.
The YAS/YTS-280 saxophones are based on the popular 275 series, but with some additional innovations such as a more stable S-bow mount and a new low B-C# joint for more precise adjustment.
Advantages over the old model:
S-bend mount type 475: (Greater stability, screw is more resilient. Set-up offers more playing comfort)
Improved deep H/C# connection with longer lever:
(Playing comfort remains the same while the new longer arm enables a more precise setting over the long term. Improved response of the low notes)
