The legendary YFH-6310Z has found a worthy successor in the new YFH-8310Z. A wealth of detailed improvements in construction and design give the new Yamaha Z flugelhorn an overwhelming, traditional flugelhorn sound with a precise response and a new lightness of touch. This makes the YFH-8310Z, developed with Bobby Shew, an instrument that allows the musician an impressive range of expression and sound variability and captivates the listener.
Brand new design:
The new flugelhorn is based on the legendary YFH-6310Z Bobby Shew model.
New trigger - more ergonomics:
The newly developed trigger impresses with its ergonomic shape and is easy to operate, regardless of the size of the player's hand.
Malone Pipe - lighter response, more feel:
The new leadpipe developed by our designer Bob Malone makes the response of the flugelhorn more direct and conveys a greater playing feel. The outer shape and support have also been redesigned.
Valve covers - small details, big effect:
The shape of the valve covers has been adopted from the popular YTR-8310Z. Together with the uniquely smooth-running valves, they ensure an excellent playing feel and outstanding sound.
Tuning slides in traditional arrangement:
The tuning slides on this model are arranged vertically.
Monel valves:
Monel valves are particularly resistant and therefore ideal for our professional flugelhorns.
Hand-lapped valves and tuning slides:
The hand-lapped valves and slides ensure an even flow of air and improve the response and intonation of the instrument.
