The YDS-150 was designed as a saxophone that allows anyone to experience the joy of making music, anytime and anywhere. This groundbreaking new wind instrument offers the full expressive power of the saxophone, yet unlike an acoustic saxophone, it can be as quiet as you like, making it easier to handle and play. Yamaha’s patented ‘Integrated Bell Acoustic System’ is a fusion of traditional saxophone design and advanced digital technologies. It delivers the uniquely rich sound of an acoustic saxophone, whilst allowing you to enjoy playing whenever and wherever you like.
Sound is produced simply by blowing into the mouthpiece, whilst volume and tone can be finely modulated by the intensity of the airflow. This enables the YDS-150 to facilitate expressive music-making for both beginners and experienced players alike.
