Each Dante-MY16-AUD provides 16 bidirectional audio channels (eight at 96 kHz) and full audio network redundancy. Depending on the number of channels required, it is possible to add additional cards. This allows Yamaha users to add up to 48 channels (24-bit audio) Dante-enabled devices together form a self-constructing, true plug-play network based on standard Internet protocols (1 Gbps and/or 100 Mbps Ethernet). They configure themselves and automatically recognise the Dante running on standard computer network hardware and require no special network infrastructure. In addition, the same Ethernet network can be used simultaneously for the transmission of uncompressed audio and control signals as well as for normal data traffic.
