The authentic reproduction of the response of an acoustic drumhead is the key to the playability of an e-drum kit.

Yamaha spent a lot of time and effort researching the response of drumheads in order to get an accurate picture of the behaviour of an acoustic instrument based on the collected results. In addition, many professional drummers worldwide participated in evaluating the performance of the DTX-PRO, which enabled us at Yamaha to further improve the expressive behaviour of the system. Thanks to our expertise as a producer of exclusive hardware in the music sector, we are ultimately able to offer a truly excellent and perfectly playable module-pad combination.

Everything a drummer needs:

The DTX-PRO module offers the option of communicating not only with other technical equipment, but also with the outside world. MIDI data can be sent and received via USB, and digital audio signals can be exchanged with a computer or smart device. The device also has a MIDI OUT port, which supports the sending of corresponding data to external devices. In addition, up to 14 pads or drum triggers can be connected to the module via the trigger inputs, making the creation of a hybrid kit of electric and acoustic drums child's play.

Professional headphone amplifier:

Yamaha knows how important it is for drummers to be able to hear themselves clearly during their performance. That's why the DTX-PRO module is equipped with a high-quality, high-performance headphone amplifier with extremely low distortion and low noise behaviour. Designed specifically for electric drums and the reproduction of realistic-sounding drum kits, the preamp offers drummers exclusive studio-level sound.

Drummers benefit from an extensive range of training functions:

The best practice functions from the previous DTX models can of course also be found in the DTX-PRO. In addition to a sophisticated programmable metronome and an extensive recording function, the module offers 10 training functions for different levels as well as 37 training songs that allow you to familiarise yourself with a wide variety of genres. Beginners and professionals alike will appreciate the training functions of the DTX6 in their daily practice.

Cubase AI included:

The DTX-PRO module is supplied with a current download version of the Cubase AI music production software. Connect your DTX-PRO to either a PC or Mac via USB and benefit from professional recording, editing and mixing functions combined in a single programme.
