DHR12M

The DHR12M is a 2-way bi-amp active speaker with a 12-inch woofer and a 1.75-inch HF driver in a space-saving coaxial configuration that is perfect for use as a floor monitor. The DHR12M combines a 1000-watt amplifier and high-performance DSP with the same plywood construction used in Yamaha's high-end DZR speaker series to deliver premium sound quality and durability.

Ultra-precise DSP processing for high-definition sound

All full-range models feature Yamaha's proprietary FIR-X tuning, which utilises linear-phase FIR filters for the crossover. FIR-X tuning simultaneously optimises the frequency and phase response and adjusts the timing between the HF and LF transducers. This produces a very smooth frequency response around the crossover point, providing much better clarity and imaging than is possible with conventional crossovers.

All signals are precisely processed by a high-performance processor to achieve high-resolution sound quality. All full-range models utilise high-precision discrete 24-bit A/D and D/A converters with superior signal-to-noise ratio and dynamic range.

Easy-to-use 2-channel mixer on board

The DHR series speakers have two input channels. CH1 has a combo socket that can accept both XLR and TRS phono input signals at microphone or line level. CH2 offers two input options: a combo jack that accepts XLR or TRS plugs and a pair of RCA jacks for input from CD players or other stereo line level sources.

The integrated mixer allows you to select either CH1+2 MIX to mix the signal from CH1 and CH2, or CH1 THRU to pass only the signal from CH1.
