:’s massive LF voice coils

The Titan 12Z features a massive 3" LF voice coil.

This efficient voice coil helps to deliver the massive 132dB maximum SPL that the 12Z is capable of.

This LF component, manufactured in-house by Wharfedale Pro, also utilises a rigid steel basket to ensure smooth reproduction of midrange and bass frequencies with minimal mechanical distortion.

:’s well-known design

The Titan 12Z utilises the same tried-and-tested cabinet design as the Titan X12.

The use of an organically shaped polypropylene cabinet with an internal laminar flow rib pattern not only creates a robust and acoustically flawless loudspeaker, but also makes it extremely portable. This makes it suitable for applications such as mobile DJs, bands and public address systems.

The trapezoidal design also allows the 12Z to be placed on the floor and used as a stage monitor.

The Titan 12Z also offers multiple mounting options. With 10 x M8 threads and an integrated 35mm flange, the Titan 12Z can be easily installed in any environment.

IRIS X compression driver technology :

The voice coil size and electrical sensitivity of a loudspeaker transducer are crucial to its performance. Titan Z loudspeakers now incorporate our proprietary IRIS X design, which offers an increased voice coil radius and enhanced electrical sensitivity. The voice coil radius ensures even heat dissipation during prolonged use at high volumes, whilst the increased electrical sensitivity ensures that the driver converts as much electrical power into sound power as the laws of physics allow.

A hot transducer wastes energy, risks damage and causes distortion. IRIS X reduces this through improved heat dissipation and enhanced efficiency. In practice, IRIS X transducers deliver higher sound pressure levels with lower distortion. They boast market-leading specifications and are designed and built entirely by Wharfedale Pro.
