Inspired by atmospheric, magical sounds
Mix and combine chorus, delay and grain; effects can be arranged in series or parallel
Series Mode: Effects are processed one after the other and build upon one another
Parallel Mode: Effects run side by side; each effect block is fed the same
input signal, and are mixed together at the end
Chorus offers Tri-Chorus and Stereo-Chorus modes for rich, modulated sounds.
Delay offers a clean digital delay with repeats lasting up to 2 seconds
The Granular effect offers two modes: Grain Cloud and Phrase Sample
Grain Cloud mode triggers random grain samples with random textures; the density and frequency of the glitches can be adjusted using the X knob
Phrase Sample mode uses rhythmic elements from the dynamic peaks of the signal, with the tempo adjustable via the X control
The Grain effect offers 5 modes: Normal, Double-Speed (+1 octave), Half-Speed (-1 octave), Reverse, and Random
Global controls: Space, Tone, Series / Parallel, Mix / Dry
The Space control delivers rich reverb, ranging from small rooms to vast soundscapes
The Tone control shapes the effect output with a synthesiser-style low-pass filter
Latch and momentary functions such as Grain Freeze and Delay Oscillation
Stereo input and stereo output
TRS MIDI mini-jack input and Thru, for MIDI control of parameters and preset management
Three presets directly accessible on the pedal plus Live mode; up to 127 presets via MIDI
USB-C port for firmware updates

The Qi Etherealizer (pronounced ‘Chi’), a collaborative creation with Yvette Young, is a multi-effects pedal that combines chorus, delay, granular effects and reverb to create a creative playground for atmospheric adventures. Known for her innovative and exploratory fingerstyle technique, her love of guitar pedals and her math-rock band Covet, the Qi reflects her approach to creating lush, evolving soundscapes. Named after the vital life energy that flows through all living beings, the Qi is designed to deliver rich textures, expansive atmospheres and dynamic layers. By combining Yvette’s artistic vision with cutting-edge design, the Qi opens the door to haunting, otherworldly sounds.
