The ARP-87 is a compact, feature-rich delay unit that offers a wide range of inspiring delay sounds. With its four main algorithms – Digital, Analogue, Lo-Fi and Slap-Back – the ARP-87 covers a wide range of delay sounds. The Digital algorithm delivers flawless, crystal-clear repeats that are ideal for rhythmic riffs.
The ‘Analogue’ setting is ideal for adding warmth and depth to chords and melody lines without sounding intrusive. The ‘Lo-Fi’ algorithm, with its adjustable frequency range for the repeats, ranges from warm, distorted and muffled to pure AM radio. Finally, the ‘Slap’ setting makes it easy to create a great slap-back echo, perfect for fast-paced chicken-picking runs. With additional features such as our intelligent bypass switching and the control’s Moment Ramp function, the ARP-87 offers endless creative possibilities just waiting to be discovered. The X control changes its function depending on which algorithm you’re currently using. It controls a specific parameter in each algorithm. In ‘Digital’, ‘Analogue’ and ‘Slap’ modes, the control adjusts the modulation depth. In ‘Lo-Fi’ mode, the control adjusts the filter width. Please note that changing the delay type loads a completely new algorithm, and the tempo must be re-entered.
