The DT 770 PRO is a closed, dynamic headphone that is suitable for professional applications as a monitor headphone in studios. Its features have been customised for studio use. The single-sided cable makes it easier to handle the headphones when they have to be constantly put on and taken off. The robust spring steel bracket construction gives the headphones a secure fit and the mechanical reliability required for daily use. Soft, adjustable ear cups and a stretchable coiled cable contribute to a high level of long-term wearing comfort. The coiled cable is equipped with a gold-plated mini stereo jack plug (3.5 mm) with 6.3 mm adapter and can therefore be connected to all standard headphone outputs.With its impulse behaviour, the DT 770 PRO comes close to electrostatic headphones and delivers a natural and balanced sound. Even the lowest bass frequencies are reproduced with definition and crispness. High frequencies are translated into an analytical, clear and differentiated sound image, which doesn't get shouty or screechy even with powerful treble sounds.

The Genera damping system known from Evans has been transferred to a single-ply head. This means that drummers who prefer single-ply snare heads do not have to do without dampened sounds. In addition, small holes, so-called dry vents, have been worked into the edge of the head. As the name suggests, these make the snare sound drier.
