The UAD-2 Satellite USB is Universal Audio's powerful DSP system that opens up the world of award-winning UAD Powered plug-ins to producers and audio engineers. The slim desktop unit gives any Windows-based DAW system enough power to mix even extensive tracks with the coveted analogue sound of UAD plug-ins.
When designing the UAD plug-ins, Universal Audio's DSP engineers work closely with original hardware manufacturers, using their schematics, sample devices and experienced ears to ensure that all sound facets of classic analogue equipment are authentically reproduced.
Two versions of the UAD-2 Satellite USB systems are equipped with either four (QUAD) or eight (OCTO) SHARC DSPs and, thanks to the USB 3.0 SuperSpeed connection, offer drastically lower latencies compared to the FireWire 800 version.
Every UAD-2 Satellite USB comes with UA's Analog Classics Plus plug-in bundle and the system can be optionally expanded with more than 90 plug-ins from renowned manufacturers such as Ampex, Manley, Lexicon, EMT, Neve, Fairchild, Pultec, Studer, SSL and many more.
In addition, the Custom* versions offer producers and engineers the option of upgrading their virtual mixrack with three UAD plug-ins of their choice at a reasonable price.
At the top of the range and equipped with 83 UAD plug-ins, the UAD-2 Satellite OCTO Ultimate 4 Bundle delivers a massive selection of analogue plug-in emulations that will enhance any professional project with the sound of many top hits from the last 50 years.
