The Tascam CD-200SB is a robust, universal playback device for audio material available on solid-state media such as SD/SDHC cards and USB sticks or on CDs (CD-DA, CD-R, CD-RW). It supports the file formats WAV, MP3, MP2, WMA and AAC and offers ten buttons for direct access to freely selectable folders on a solid-state medium. This makes it the ideal replacement for outdated CD changers. The device can also extract tracks from audio CDs to SD/SDHC/USB media in either WAV or MP3 format to archive them or make them more easily available.
The CD-200SB offers functions such as single track, random, programmed and repeat playback, play function and variable pitch/speed (±14%). It also supports CD text and ID3/WMA/AAC tags, i.e. the artist and track name are shown on the display. A memory to protect against dropouts (10 seconds) is also available. On the output side, a balanced and an unbalanced analogue output, a headphone output with level control as well as a coaxial and an optical digital output ensure integration into practically any conceivable environment. A wireless remote control is also included.
