Starclassic Walnut/Birch.
The combination of birch and walnut focuses tonally on the low and mid frequencies in particular. Birch provides the necessary and clear attack at higher frequencies, while walnut complements the low frequencies. The typical sound of the Tama Starclassic is clearly audible, but expanded and presents the current modern drum sound.
