This special type of screw allows hi-hats to be tightened extremely tightly without exerting unnecessary pressure on the Z-rod, hoops or even the shell.
The Tama Hoop Grip & ZHH Z-Rod Bundle is a practical accessory package consisting of the well-known MC8 Hoop Grip and the ZHH Z-Rof for hi-hats. With this flexible hardware, pairs of hi-hat cymbals can be mounted quickly and securely on any hoop, whether snare, tom-tom or floor tom. The MC8 Hoop Grip fits most hoops, whether cast iron or steel, and even special hoops such as the Grooved Hoop from Tama pose no problem. Only wooden hoops are not suitable for use with the MC8.
